This January, join us at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center for “Reach for the Stars: Celebrating Christa McAuliffe”, a week-long tribute honoring the life, courage, and legacy of Christa McAuliffe, the first teacher in space, and the Challenger crew who lost their lives 40 years ago, on January 28th, 1986.

The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center’s School Visit Discovery Scholarship opens access to hands-on, curriculum-aligned STEM learning, funded for up to 25 New Hampshire schools during the 2025–2026 school year, onsite or through Discovery Center outreach programs.
