November Super Stellar Friday Event
We’re excited to announce our topic and speaker for November’s Virtual Super Stellar Friday! On November 6 at 7:00 PM, Wallis Boram will be talking to us about invasive jumping earthworms and their role in Northeast forests. Join us for Invasion of the Jumping Worms and learn how earthworms arrived in the Northeast, what their unique life cycle involves, and how their presence influences soil characteristics.
Wallis Boram is a recent graduate of Bard College where her thesis focused on the impact of invasive jumping worms in Northeast forest habitats. She is now the Education Specialist at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center for a special project working with high school students to create a traveling museum exhibit.
This event is FREE, but requires registration—click here to register! We also hope you consider making a donation so we can continue to offer programming like this in the future; thank you!
