Holiday Happenings at the Discovery Center

There’s so much to celebrate this time of year, and we at the Discovery Center used the evening of December 10 to celebrate our members. Members got to do all the classic Discovery Center activities—exploring their favorite exhibits, looking through the observatory telescope, and watch a planetarium show (this evening, it was the wintry Life Under the Arctic Sky)—plus there were homemade cookies for snacking and hot cocoa for sipping, paper snowflakes and wooden ornaments for crafting, and a photo booth for snapping a festive picture or two.

Here’s what one member said about the party:
“My kids and I had a great time! The staff was friendly and helpful, the cocoa and cookies were festive and fun, the star ornaments were a perfect size to paint, the gentleman at the telescope was informative and excellent with kids, the photo props were fun, the picture with the astronaut was cool and the planetarium show was outstanding. We came up from Connecticut for a fun night out and we really appreciated the opportunity.”

We’re so happy to have had everyone come out for a couple hours of fun, and thank you to all who donated to the food drive!

Happy holidays from your friends at the
McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center!
