Program Description
Join us for a special visit from former NASA astronaut Mark Kelly at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center on March 20 from 10:45 AM–12:00 PM.
During this presentation, Kelly will share stories from his time in space, discuss what it’s like to live and work aboard spacecraft, and reflect on the future of human space exploration. A veteran astronaut and Space Shuttle commander, he brings firsthand insight into the challenges and excitement of exploring beyond Earth.
This talk will be delivered to a visiting school group and will also be open to Discovery Center visitors. Senator Kelly is in town for a separate engagement but has made this personal stop to connect with our community and share his experiences as a NASA astronaut. His presentation at the Discovery Center will be entirely focused on spaceflight and exploration.
