Coming Soon: Super Stellar Friday- Hubble and James Webb Telescopes

We are excited to announce that our September 3rd Super Stellar Friday will feature NASA Solar Ambassador and Educator Fellow Sally Jensen as she leads us on a tour of the Hubble’s history and the James Webb’s future. For the past 30 years the Hubble Space Telescope has given us an incredible view of the universe to study and explore. This presentation will take you from the origins of placing a telescope in orbit around the Earth, through the technical issues over the years, and the amazing findings that this scope has given us. Hubble’s successor, the James Webb Telescope, which will soon be launched, will carry on this study of our universe. Join us for this free virtual event at 7 pm- register here.

Sally Jensen is technically retired from teaching middle school students after 50 plus years but is still active in learning and working with curricula development. As a NASA Solar System Ambassador and an Educator Fellow for various space missions, Sally continues to teach STEM lessons and gives presentations to various groups across the state. She is member of the New Hampshire Solar Eclipse task force and is currently helping with a book/resource compilation for teachers, librarians and the general public. Sally lives in Campton, NH with her newly acquired cat, Miss Kitty. She also plays clarinet in the Plymouth State University Symphonic Band and various small group ensembles.
