Planetarium Show: The Little Star That Could

Our Planetarium Theater misses being filled with school children and families! While it remains idle, the Discovery Center staff still wanted to bring these magical shows to you! Although you won’t being seeing them on a Full-dome, digital Sky-Skan Definiti theater, we still hope these shows will spark your imagination and get you excited about STEM, space, and aviation.

We will be posting a new planetarium show weekly. So make sure to continue to check our website for updates. This week, we will be beginning with an audience favorite, The Little Star That Could! Unlike the planetarium theater, grab some popcorn and a soda, sit back, and enjoy the show!

The Little Star That Could: The story about Little Star, an average yellow star in search for planets of his own to protect and warm. Along the way, he meets other stars, learns what makes each star special, and discovers that stars combine to form star clusters and galaxies. Eventually, Little Star finds his planets. Each planet is introduced to audiences with basic information about our Solar System. Recommended for ages 4 to 10.

A huge thank you to Audio Visual Imagineering for sharing these planetarium shows with the Discovery Center during these unprecedented times.
