Homeschool Program: Roaming Around Mars

Our focus for the 2017-18 Academic Year will be on Solar System Exploration, with a focus on our system's planets and moons and the space missions that have enabled us to learn about our 'neighbors in space'.

This month: Mars is perhaps the most explored planet (excluding Earth) in our solar system.  Our exploration of Mars began over 45 years ago with flybys by unmanned space probes.  Now, rovers, equipped with cameras and scientific instruments, explore this red planet—in hopes of learning enough to support manned missions in the future!

Optional Planetarium show: Ice Worlds
