CSI: Space - Investigating the Deaths of Sun-like Stars
When stars like our Sun die they form Planetary Nebulae, beautiful, gas clouds surrounding what will become a White Dwarf. We have seen many examples of these across the galaxy, but it is still unclear exactly what is the cause for the variety of fascinating shapes these Planetary Nebulae take as a result of the death of their parent stars. To get a better understanding, we'll look at evidence from various types of stars and stellar death to see if we can uncover the truth behind what will happen to our own Sun one day.
