Outreach
Can't come to us? We can come to you!
We will adjust the content of any of the following programs to suit your students' grade level. These programs actively involve your students in exciting, enjoyable learning experiences. Some programs involve hands-on activities for every student. Others utilize volunteers from the audience. We will be happy to answer questions after each show. Name a topic in space science and we'll deliver a program to your students in a fun and educational way!
Discovery Dome:
In our portable, inflatable planetarium,
we offer a variety of shows to choose from
for groups of 30-40 students at a time:
Tonight’s Sky – our educators can customize a show about the constellations and the night sky. Great for all ages.
Ice Worlds – visit the two poles of Earth and the icy landscapes of our solar system. For grades 4-12.
Infinity Express – take an exciting journey of discovery to explore our solar system, includes breathtaking images from the Hubble Space Telescope. For grades 4-12.
Ring World – learn about the Cassini mission to Saturn. For grades 4-12.
The Amazing Telescope - A dynamic look at the development and types of telescopes from Galileo's time to the high-powered observatories of today. For grades 4-12.
Impact Earth - What are the differences between asteroids, meteors and comets? Learn how these objects are discovered and how potential impacts might be deflected. For grades 4-12.
Interstellar Boundary Explorer – learn about the IBEX mission from the scientists and engineers investigating the boundary of our solar system. For grades 6-12.

The Incredible Vacuum of Space show:
Want to know more about the vacuum of space? We'll bring a vacuum to your class. Using household items, we show what would happen if the astronauts ripped their space suits while out working on the space station. This demonstration is a great way to start a discussion with your students about pressure.
The International Space Station - some assembly required:
Want to know more about the International Space Station? Our hands-on demonstrations explain how astronauts:
- Construct the space station
- Remotely operate the "CanadaArm"
- Live in micro-gravity
- Physically adjust to micro-gravity
- And much more!
Telescopes-to-Go:
Ask us to bring our telescopes to your school for day or night programs on astronomy. During the day, we'll discuss sunspots, safe solar viewing, and more! Limit 50 people per hour per telescope.
Want us to come at night? We can look at Saturn's rings, Jupiter's Big Red Spot, the Moon's craters, the Orion Nebula, the Double Cluster, galaxies... let us show you around the night sky.
