Mad Scientist
Here you can find some really fun science projects you can try at home! Ask your parents for a little help and you'll be on your way to becoming a mad scientist!

Let’s Make “Space Pudding”

Eating in space is not easy. In microgravity, everything floats – including your food! So astronauts need to keep their food in special containers that allow them to eat without the food floating away from them. This exercise will help you understand how to prepare food in space, and will have you eating like an astronaut.

Of course, we will create the most important part of the meal – dessert. Here is what you will need to prepare individual packets of "Space Pudding":

- 4 Zipper-type quart-size plastic bags
- 1 4-oz. box of INSTANT Chocolate Pudding mix
- Instant non-fat dry milk mix

In each bag, measure out the following amounts:

- 4 teaspoons of dry milk mix
- 7 level teaspoons of pudding mix

To make the “Space Pudding” for each bag of mix:

1) Add approximately ½ cup of water, and seal the bag;
2) “Knead” the mixture by hand until it mixes completely – a couple minutes or so should work.
3) With a pair of scissors, cut off one corner of the bag and carefully squeeze the contents into your mouth.

Enjoy!
