25th Anniversary Celebration

The Discovery Center will be honoring the 25th anniversay of the launch of the space shuttle Challenger and the life of Christa McAuliffe on Friday, January 28 with a special educator appreciation event followed by a tribute event that will be open to the public.

Generously sponsored by Fidelity Investments, the Discovery Center would like to invite all teachers and educators to come for free with their families and enjoy refreshments, activities and NASA presentations from 5-6:30 PM. Special guest speaker Alan Ladwig, NASA Deputy Associate Administrator for Public Outreach, will be presenting a speech on "Christa: Her Life, Legacy, and Implications for the Future" at 6 PM. Following will be the premiere of a special 25th anniversary commemorative NH Outlook documentary, presented by President and CEO of NH Public Television Peter Frid and NH Outlook Producer Richard Ager. Also enjoy free tours of the Discovery Center observatory and exhibits from 6:45-7:45.
